How to make money during Nysc

Do you know you can use the period of Nysc service to make extra cash?

In this article we highlighted six(6) solid ways one can make money during Nysc service.
Here, we are going to reveal some of the lucrative businesses a corps member can venture into that would not distract his/her service. Do not put your whole trust in Nysc N19,800 allowance paid monthly.
Determination is one way to achieve this.

These are the things you can do to make extra money:

1. Private Tutorials: You can make good cash if you become a private tutor. Meet senior colleagues (outgoing corpers) serving around your area. They can help to connect you to the parents of some of the kids they teach, so when they go, you take over. For those of you who can teach very well to secondary students, especially those in exam class (JSSCE, WAEC, NECO GCE, JAMB etc.), this can be a big shot to make extra money. If you're, eventually post to school to teach, then you have good opportunity to form a tutorial class. but even if you're not posted to teach you can still form tutorial class by going to schools or you can collaborate with fellow corper who teach in schools to form a formidable tutorial centres.

2. Farming (rearing of animal): This again can give you extra cash beyond what you could imagine. I have seen corpers that did this. It's lucrative to reare farm animals. You can reare fish or set up a poultry farm.
Find a fish pond by yourself or speak with the host community leaders, ask them to help you with a fish pond. They can provide fish pond or poultry house for you. Another way to do this is, form a group of about five corpers, meet the Local Government Chairman in area you were posted and him to help provide support.

3. Writing: freelance writers make good money by writing and submiting articles online. It is assumed that graduates from prestigious universities can write good articles. If you can write interesting articles relating to health, politics, food, sports etc. then you can money by marketing your write up online. Use your phone to google how you can monetize your articles. Note: Your articles should not be less that 400 words, well written and should be original(not copied from already existing materials).

4. Blogging: Blogging is another way you can earn money. All you need is to create a blogging site whuch is free to creat at free blogger.com or wordpress.com; then find the right niche and write interesting articles relating to your niche. But I must tell you; for you to be a successful blogger it requires some technical know how. You may not have to be 'guru' but you need to know the basics to some extent. If you have a computer or smart phone (I mean smart phone, not china) and an internet connection, then you are 'good to go'. Although, earning from blog usually takes time and patience.

5. Small scale mini importation
You can carry out a feasibility study and find out some of the things that are lacking in the community where you were posted and order for them to sale. For example, you can buy boxers or pants cheaper in the market and sale relatively high that the cost price to people. Items to import could be boxers, shoes, phone accessories, watches etc. You can start with something portable that won’t require you to spend much time.
 6. Baking: If you can bake cakes, doughnut, bons etc. then bake and supply to those selling in retail quality or you can as well sale in retail.

Finally, the list of things that can make you earn extra money is endless; laundry business, bulk sms etc are all included. Just find one and start doing it. Thanks

This post is very important, it is about the best 10 state for NYSC service. It is going to help you, especially when considering the best states to choose during NYSC online registration.

Please, be informed that all states are good.

Below are the best ten(10) states to serve as a corps member

1. Lagos State
Lagos is the best in our list. The state is the former Nigeria Capital, the standard of living may be high, but you can still get some cash to support yourself. In Lagos, job opportunity is high than other states in Nigeria. You have hundred of recruiting companies to submit your CV; you can get job and settle down after your service year. There is a saying that anything you do in Lagos and do it hard, then you will make money from it.

2. Abuja FCT
Abuja is the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, the cost of living may be high, but you will enjoy the place. Most of the private companies in Abuja pay big money as allowances to corps members serving in their establishment. There are job opportunities, and almost everywhere is developed, security is very tight.

3. Kano State
Kano state is very good, things are very cheap, making it possible for savings. In Kano you can save most of your earnings.
A friend of mine who finished from Kano was even claiming the place is better than Lagos. You might want to give it a shot

4. Ogun State
Wow, Ogun made the list. You can ask people who finished from there. In Ogun everywhere is a place of Opportunity.

5. Plateau State
This is one of the best place you can serve. You will live large and still have savings. Normal standard of living, cheap food stuffs, cheap transportation and more…

6. Akwa Ibom State
Akwa Ibom is among the best. State allowances for Corps Members are high to compare to other states. Generally, things are good in Akwa Ibom, ask those who finished from the state.

7. Enugu State
Enugu state is very good for NYSC. There is light and water in Enugu. Security is very tight. You will enjoy serving in Enugu.

8. Rivers State
Someone reading this is already jumping to testify Rivers State is one of the best.

9. Cross River State
Calabar is the capital city. You won't regret it

10. Osun State
Osun made it in the list. It is one of the best. Very peaceful, good electricity and a place to bring any dream to reality.

11. If I am permitted to include another state, I would say Anambra. Anambra state is ok, they pay state allowance more than other states.

Note: Our ranking is based on the following:

Location

Infrastructure

State Allowances

Job Opportunities

Exposure

Activities

Security

Corps Members Testimonies

etc.
Remember, no state is bad. And also, NYSC is not about looking for the best place, but it is more about making where you are posted the best.
Thank you as you share.

It is important to know the amount the various states government in Nigeria pay serving Corps Members posted to their states. In this article, all the states in Nigeria were listed with the corresponding amount they pay to serving corps members.
It is known that the Federal Government

JAMB CAPS: How do I check my admission status in caps portal and can I accept or reject admission if I have not been offered admission yet? That’s what you are about to learn in this tutorial.

I have already explained everything about Jamb caps for 2018/2019 admission. If you still don’t have full idea of what Jamb caps is about then click here now to read more about JAMB CAPS PORTAL.

Steps To Check Your 2018/19 Admission Status In Caps Portal

Ensure you have active data bundle.

Open your favourite browser (Preferably, Google Chrome).

Visit the jamb caps admission checking portal using this link http://caps.jamb.gov.ng/acceptadmission.aspx.

Then scroll down to check CAPS UTME/DE Admission status.

Click on UTME/DE Admission button to check and accept/reject your 2018 status of admission.

Your details including Jamb score, institution, date of birth, etc will appear when you have successfully logged in to Jamb caps portal.

If you are given admission and you like the school then click on accept admission.

If the institution and course space is blank or you have not been offered admission then don’t click on accept admission. Just keep checking back.

Be very careful not to accept admission when you are not offered (or when you have hope of gaining admission in a better school).

Once you accept the admission offered you then your admission door is closed for that year.

On the other hand, if you see welcome while you click on CAPS, don’t be annoyed. Just use desktop version to see the menu and then click on check admission status (Click on the three dots on Google Chrome and scroll down to see desktop site).

Jamb Caps Admission Status Portal

Not Admitted In My Jamb Caps Portal/Market Place

Accept The Admission Status:

If you see not admitted yet in your Jamb Caps market place it means your school hasn’t started giving admission and all you have to do is close the page and keep checking back. Don’t click on the accept admission TAB (It would not be clickable self).

By the time your school of choice releases her admission list, you will not only see the “ACCEPT” icon but also a ‘DECLINE’ icon . You are enjoined not to click on the ‘ACCEPT’ icon until you receive an admission notification from your institution of choice.

I Mistakenly Click Accept Admission In My Caps Portal?

If you mistakenly accepted admission when you have not been offered admission by any school yet then I don’t think that would be an issue.

The main issue is when you have been offered admission in a particular school already and you accepted it. It then means that your door of admission for that year has closed. I wish you the best.

Jamb Introduced new admission method which will began in the year 2017. The process is called Jamb Central Admission Processing System(CAPS). It is through Jamb caps you can check and accept Jamb 2019 admission.

LASPOTECH HND Admission Screening date for the 2018/2019 academic session has been announced by the management of the polytechnic.

All candidates who applied for admission into Full-Time Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes at Lagos State Polytechnic are hereby notified that the CBT screening examination is scheduled to hold from Monday 27th – Wednesday 29th August, 2018 at the ICT Centre, Ikorodu campus, Ikorodu Lagos.

All prospective HND students of LASPOTECH for the 2018/2019 academic session are advised to take note of this piece of information and adhere to it.

This to notify candidates seeking admission into various tertiary institutions for the 2018/2019 academic session that the JAMB CAPS have been activated for the admission exercise.

This means that candidates can now monitor their admission status and easily know when they have been offered an admission.

Once a candidate has been offered admission, such candidate is required to do either of two things; to accept the admission or to reject it.

Once you accept the admission, your admission quest is over as you will no longer be available for other schools' admission consideration. On the other hand, if you reject the admission, you become available to other schools who have free admission slots for admission consideration.

It is important to note also that candidates who have been offered admission on JAMB CAPS are to equally print their admission letter after accepting the admission, as they will likely need this during clearance and registration in the school that they have been admitted.

We therefore advise candidates to closely monitor their admission status on JAMB CAPS so as to do the needful as soon as possible.

Some schools may not even publish list of admitted candidates on their own portal or notice board. So for candidates that applied for admission in such schools, the only way to know when they have been offered admission is to check their admission status on JAMB CAPS.
